PUCPR Florence at KSU

The third academic term, international at PUCPR, also takes place during the academic break in Florence, Italy, at the PUCPR and KSU international hub. In this option, you may take undergraduate or graduate courses, with an average duration of 10 days, and earn credits to be exempted from courses by equivalence. 

Complement your academic education while getting to know the birthplace of the Renaissance. In addition to the courses offered by PUCPR, you can take a bonus course on Italian History and Culture, taught by a professor from Kent State University.

BONUS COURSE

For the 2026 Summer Institute, in addition to the course you have chosen to take, PUCPR is offering one extra bonus course: “Italian History and Culture.” This course, equivalent to 1 ECTS (credit), will be taught by a faculty member from Kent State University (USA), and you will learn about Italian culture and society in connection with the academic offerings in Florence and with the other courses in the program.
Discover specific aspects of Italian culture in an authentic living and learning context. Take the city of Florence as your classroom and be exposed to exceptional experiences that will strengthen your intercultural skills.
* Visits may take place at locations such as: the Uffizi Museum, the Galleria dell’Accademia,Palazzo Vecchio, Museo Duomo.

ABOUT PUCPR FLORENCE AT KSU

PUCPR has opened its first international hub, in partnership with Kent State University, in the city of Florence, Italy. The campus, located in the Palazzo Vettori, is shared by four major universities: PUCPR, Kent State University (USA), Dankook University (South Korea), and Webster University (USA).  

This means that the hub is always filled with professors and students from various cities around the world, making diversity and interculturality part of the students’ daily experience.
